Carefully selected solid materials and beautiful speakers made by craftsmen

Description

The development of the NC7v2 is a sister model to the flagship NC11. The MAOP7_v2 is an excellent model that plays flat up to 34000Hz (±6dB), and the light weight of 3.3g (MMS 3.8g) is very attractive. In addition, the resonant frequency (Fb) can be expected to be 50Hz, which is very attractive because it is well-balanced for the reproduction of the basic elements of music. We offer two types of models, NC7v2_WNT (solid walnut) and NC7v2_MW (combination of hard maple / solid walnut), made by craftsmen who manufacture musical instruments using high-quality solid wood that matches the driver's combination of dynamic and delicate.

Hard maple/walnut is attractive because maple is hard and has good transmission characteristics, so it rises quickly and has good localization.

Walnut has a high damping factor (sound attraction) relative to the weight of its specific gravity, so it richly reproduces indirect sounds such as whole tones in concert halls.

MAOP(Micro-Arc Oxidation Process)

MAOP treatment is a process in which crystals are created by oxidizing the surface of an aluminum-magnesium cone over a long period of time in a solution in an alkaline electrolyzer at a very high voltage (700 V). The effect is that this crystal dumps the resonant wave of sound, which is said to be 10% of the sound that passes through the surface of the cone, which was originally made of metal. In conventional metal cones, the microresonance pattern that passes through this surface is transmitted directly to the frame, but this MAOP treatment achieves a damping effect similar to that of pulp cones in the metal cone itself, which was not possible until now. This is the reason why it achieves a very flat frequency response and is said to be a "quiet, silky smooth audio driver".

The MAOP_7v2 uses rectangle copper wire for the voice coil, and the conversion efficiency in the magnetic field is about 30% more efficient than that of the round wire, so the drive weight (MMD) can be reduced, and the mid-range eddy current can be reduced, the coil folds and the surface area can be large, contributing to the sound quality of the MAOP_7v2 over the entire range. The MAOP_7v2 plays flat up to 34 kHz. This is a best-selling model that combines a long stroke with an Xmax (amplitude) of 4.5 mm, a gross drive weight (MMS) of 3.9 g, and an ultra-thin alloy cone of 100 μmm, achieving both delicate mid-to-high sound and low-distortion high-purity bass.

The delicacy of hard maple and the beauty of walnut sound quality

Hard maple wood is very hard and has a high specific gravity, so it has good sound transmission characteristics. For this reason, it is often used for guitar necks. Therefore, it reproduces the contours of the cymbals and the details of the reverberation. Therefore, we used hard maple for the baffle surface and walnut for the side panels to create a system that is well-balanced, has a well-balanced contour, and has a three-dimensional effect. Please enjoy the realistic and delicate musical expression and dense MAOP7 sound that you have never experienced before. This model has a matte urethane finish, which is often used in modern Scandinavian furniture.

Features of whole-tone and reproduction of music space

The properties of walnut wood are heavy and hard, and it is characterized by the fact that it does not deviate much, and especially reproduces reflected and indirect sounds beautifully. For this purpose, it is used in various musical instruments. It has a moderate damping capacity, so it has a warm spread throughout the music, making it ideal for enjoying the space of the concert hall and the sound of the overtones of the instruments. It has a traditional urethane gloss finish.

The hard maple wood does not attenuate in the high frequencies, so it rises very well and the reverberation rises well. It is recommended for genres that are sharp and contrasting.
Walnut is ideal for classical music in halls that make use of reverberation.

Oval Bass Reflex Port

The sound of the bass reflex is bright, energetic, and a complete way of designing a speaker system, but some people prefer the sober but smooth characteristics of the acoustic suspension type and the smooth characteristics to the very low range. Therefore, in order to suppress the attenuation of the steep ultra-low frequency of the bass reflex, an oval structure is adopted by superimposing solid wood, and the design aims to "get the best of both worlds" of the bass reflex and sealing.

Craftsmanship

When I unpacked the NC7v2_MW sent from the Matsumoto factory, I was struck by the beauty of the finish. The finish of this beautiful baking sheet is impressive. It is made up of five pieces of solid wood, but even if you touch it with your hands, it looks like a single board.

The beauty of the Nature Collection series is more beautiful than the high-end furniture in the living room due to carefully selected materials and careful processing work by veteran craftsmen.

Difference Between NC11 and NC7

The difference in sound quality between the NC11 and NC7 is that the NC7 is better at delicate expressions than the NC11, making it ideal for those who want to listen to chamber music on stringed instruments. On the other hand, the NC11 demonstrates its true value for grand spatial expressions, such as classical concerts in large halls and church organ performances.
The maximum input is 20W for the NC7 unit, but the tolerance increases to 30W as it fits in the enclosure. Since the NC11 unit is 35W, the actual maximum input is about 45W.
Mark Audio's speakers are designed and adjusted so that you can not only watch them in front of the audio set, but also move around and enjoy great sound even in an offset state, so they may appear inferior if you compare them with other products only by comparing the specs.
