The Q-tron OTL amplifier does not use conventional output transformers, and realizes ultra-clear sound. In particular, the clarity of bass and treble is outstanding, providing sound quality that is different from conventional vacuum tube amplifiers and transistor amplifiers. Even though it has warmth comparable to SET amplifier, the sound quality is attractive.
Q-tron Audio was founded in Sweden in 1976 by Hans Beijing and his brother Ulf, who were involved in electronic circuit design and product management in Ericsson. Over the years, we have developed and manufactured advanced electronics for the Swedish military and industry. However, with a deep interest in vacuum tube amplifiers, we have been working on designing OTL amplifiers using 6C33C tubes, and completed our first product in 2000. It also enhances its performance by adding distortion correction and noise reduction technologies.
