Baccoon Products is better known and appreciated overseas than in Japan for its proprietary SATRI-IC (Satori IC) and current output to obtain the best sound quality, and has recently received high praise in the audio magazine MJ and a good reputation for its joint amplifier kits.
The company is especially popular in neighboring Korea, where it is selling like hotcakes through its authorized distributor in Korea.
The company also supplied SATRI-IC, the heart of Bakun Products, to a Korean-registered company on an OEM basis. The company not only supplied SATRI-IC, but also gave permission to use the Bakun name and logo.
The name of the company is Bakoon International "Bakoon International. It is not sold in Japan, but it was highly acclaimed by an American audio magazine. Of course, it was all thanks to SATRI-IC, which was supplied by Bakoon Products.
The Korean-registered Bakoon International (with no capital tie-up at all) has acquired the registered trademark of the Bakoon Products name and logo in countries other than Japan without the knowledge of Bakoon Products, the original owner of the company.
This is exactly the same act as when a Chinese company registered Japanese brands such as Matsuzaka Beef and Mujirushi without knowing it. No, rather, what Baccoon International, Inc. has done is nothing but a betrayal of the worst kind.
It is a very unacceptable act, but since the patents have already been taken in various countries, it has become difficult to sell the products overseas under the name of Bakun Products.
The products of Bakoon International, which took the name and logo of Bakoon Products, have naturally become hostile to the original Bakoon Products and are no longer supplied with the latest ICs from Bakoon, and are either equipped with old SATRI-ICs or have been sold under the name of Bakoon International.
The sound is no longer that of Bakun Products, because the development of the SATRI-IC was not a part of Bakun Products' development process. This is because SATRI-IC is developed and manufactured by Baccoon Products in Japan.
Currently, the case is in court in Korea, but court applications must be filed in each country, which is time-consuming and expensive. In addition, the Korean court has restrained us from using the name and logo during the trial.
Although there is no problem in Japan, we can no longer use the logo and name overseas. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we have started to change the name and logo of some of our products.
The new name is SCL (SATRI Circuit Laboratory). We will start with some of the CAP series products.
The reason we are changing the design of both domestic and overseas models is that both domestic and overseas models are reflected in the product price, so we have unified them. We have not yet decided to what extent we will make changes to the products.
We expect that all of the lower-priced CAP series will eventually be changed.
