The other day, a customer inquired about Yarland amplifiers.
They mentioned that with a previously purchased Chinese-made amplifier, there was a very noticeable burnt smell when it was first used, which was concerning. Therefore, they were very interested in Yarland amplifiers.
The question was whether the same problem could occur with the Chinese-made Yarland amplifier. We have never noticed such an issue with Yarland amplifiers.
To be thorough, we checked with the manufacturer. It seems that cheap Chinese-made amplifiers use inexpensive paint on the transformer that is commonly used within China, and when first used, the paint may burn and generate a bad odor.
Yarland products, on the other hand, use high-quality paint that meets European standards, so such a situation does not occur.
Additionally, in the past, the AUKLET series used to take about 2–3 weeks for delivery, but now they always keep stock, so they can usually ship within 2–3 days.
