TY-1 is a finger rest for headshells from Yamamoto Acoustic Craft.
As introduced in an audio magazine, this product is designed to improve sound quality by preventing the headshell finger rest from "squeaking" during record playback.
I attached it to HS-1A. It is made of titanium, so it is quite firm and tight.
To borrow a phrase from a critic, it eliminates the squeak of the fingering and tightens the sound image remarkably.
Indeed, the unreliable and soft aluminum finger-joint is replaced by a titanium stick, which simply increases the rigidity of the headshell and tightens the sound image, which is easy to understand.
