Power Amplifier AMP-5521is the company's mid-range amplifier, but it makes full use of the latest circuitry.
The output is 35W + 35W in stereo and 100W in mono BTL specification.
The most significant feature is that the components that make up the amplifier are fully surface-mount components that do not have lead wires. Until now, the company's amplifier resistors, capacitors, and semiconductors have used components with leads.
However, at present, there are almost no products that use lead parts, and it has become difficult to obtain lead parts.
The company had to choose between keeping the expensive lead components or changing the amp design itself to use leadless surface-mount components.
The company chose to use surface-mount components.
Not only that, but by using surface-mount components that do not have leads, we decided to create a high-precision amplifier that had not been possible before.
If there is a lead wire, the sound will be colored due to its material and nature. I thought that by eliminating the lead wires, I would eliminate that coloring. When using surface-mount components, we reviewed the design method of the printed circuit board on which the components are placed. The length of the wiring of the printed pattern, which is colored in the same way as the lead wire, was reduced to less than 1/4. In addition, we have developed many new circuits that can improve high accuracy by using surface-mount components.
Until now, it took about 4 minutes for the bias current to stabilize, but the AMP-5521 succeeded in reducing it to less than 10 seconds.
We were able to achieve an amplifier that is about 50 times more accurate than an amplifier that uses conventional lead wire components. In combination with the SATRI speaker, it is possible to play realistically as if there is a player in front of you.
