Yamamoto Acoustic Engineering A-08S WE101D/104D Single Stereo Amplifier with WE101D ST Tube Included - Used Item

This is a listening device that was installed in Yamamoto Acoustic Engineering's listening room. Since it was used by the manufacturer for listening tests, maintenance is thorough. It is an exceptionally clean unit. Since it was a listening device at the manufacturer's headquarters, usage was quite limited, and the included WE101D ST vacuum tubes have very little usage. It will be shipped after manufacturer maintenance. A 6-month manufacturer warranty is included, including the output vacuum tubes.

A sister model of the A-08S exclusively for WE101D and WE104D. Although its output is less than 1W, the sound quality is excellent and comparable to the WE205D. During the prototype stage, the sound quality and output exceeded expectations, making it fully practical and ready for commercialization.
The low output of approximately 0.25W of the WE101D is converted into a plate voltage with about 250V load and a current of 13.5mA, resulting in a power consumption of about 3.5W. The load impedance at this time is 5k ohms, resulting in an output of approximately 0.6W. On the other hand, for the WE104D, the maximum output according to the specifications is about 0.8W at a plate voltage of 190V, which is adopted as is. In both types, the plate current value is finely adjusted using the cathode resistor to achieve the optimal value, resulting in an output of approximately 0.8W according to the specification. Additionally, both vacuum tubes can be used simply by switching the cathode resistor.
 

Ein bisschen unglaublich, aber sensational!!
Der 101D ist um Längen besser als ein 300B. Es ist der beste Verstärker, den ich bisher hatte.
Der Eindruck eines Verstärkers mit dem WE101D ist, dass er – abgesehen von sehr hoher Lautstärke – dynamischer und klarer klingt als alle anderen Verstärker des Unternehmens wie WE205D, 45, 300B. Dies scheint stark auf die nicht-drosselgefilterte Stromversorgung dieses Verstärkers zurückzuführen zu sein. Normalerweise verwendet man bei Verstärkern eine Drosselspule, um die Spannungswelligkeit der B-Versorgung für die Endstufe zu beseitigen, aber dieser Verstärker benötigt aufgrund seiner geringen Stromaufnahme keine Drosselspule und bildet das Filter nur mit CR-Komponenten, um die B-Spannung bereitzustellen.

Die Kathoden-Bypass-Kondensatoren der Endstufe bestehen aus Polypropylen-Kondensatoren vom Typ Lag-Terminal der Firma Dearborn, USA, die in einem Bakelitgehäuse mit hochfestem Epoxidharz versiegelt sind. Dies trägt ebenfalls erheblich zur Klangqualität bei. Außerdem wird in diesem Gerät als Treiber-Röhre eine Siemens C3m verwendet, bei der das Abschirmgehäuse entfernt wurde. Die C3m ist eine in etwa 1968 veröffentlichte, relativ neue Pentode mit hervorragenden Eigenschaften, klarem Klang und geringem Rauschen.

Sowohl beim WE101D als auch beim WE104D wurden die ST- und Tennisball-Formen getestet. Die ST-Form liefert einen straffen, kompakten Klang, die Tennisball-Form einen großzügigen, entspannten Klang. Die Tennisball-Form sieht interessant aus und macht optisch Spaß, ist aber teuer. Wenn man nach Klangqualität wählt, reicht die ST-Form völlig aus. Die Lautsprecheranschlüsse sind nur für 8-Ω-Ausgänge vorhanden, aber es ist problemlos möglich, 4-Ω- oder 16-Ω-Lautsprecher zu verwenden. Allerdings sinkt die maximale Ausgangsleistung in allen Fällen. Bei einer maximalen Ausgangsleistung von 8 W liegt die Leistung bei etwa 4-6 W.
