High Quality Teflon Socket
Loctal tube socket used for 7C5, 7N7, C3m, C3o, etc.
Compatible vacuum tubes
1LA4, 7AF7, 7C5, 7N7, 5AZ4, etc.
Mounting hole: 30φ, screw spacing: 38.2mm
If you insert it all the way in, it will be locked.
The original tube socket is made of milled fluoropolymer (or complite) and fixed with a round pin. For this reason, there is no rattling and the vacuum tube is held firmly, preventing deterioration of sound quality due to vibration. In addition, fluoropolymers have excellent insulating properties, making them a key part of tube amplifier construction.
Explanation of the materials used
FluoropolymersA: The official name is tetrafluoroethylene, and the electrical insulating and dielectric constant are the highest of any solid. It also has excellent temperature resistance characteristics.
Complite: A material made by forcibly drying wood and impregnating it with phenolic resin as the base material, and the electrical properties are the same as those of bakelite and the strength is better. It is also characterized by high heat resistance and a solid sound due to its high strength.
Phosphor Bronze: It is used as the material for the pins of most tube sockets (except the L series). It has high strength, excellent springiness, and maintains stable contact.
Gold plated: Most socket pins are thickly gold-plated with a non-magnetic substrate. Magnetic materials are also eliminated from plating (except for the L series) as much as possible.
