Audio Excellence Award Winning LAN Cable

LAN cables that cannot be produced with mass-produced models with thorough noise suppression

Description
Triple blend of high-purity platinum, gold, and silver "Aug-Line + α (Alpha)" conductor 8-core twist digital cable
PTFE, which has the best properties among Teflons, is used for insulation, which has a great impact on sound quality, and the best material for the secondary jacket is Teflon foam.

An 8-core shield structure was adopted that was selected after repeated prototypes, and an AUG alloy was used as the shielding material. In addition, it is shielded with a special electromagnetic wave prevention sheet to block high-frequency noise, which is the main enemy of digital signals.

The twisted-pair structure, which is the most noteworthy structure of digital LAN cables, also almost achieves the ideal angle of 45 degrees, and has a structure that can be said to be impossible with mass-produced cables.

Under the shielding material, a gold-silver alloy wire that is twice as thick as the signal wire is enclosed for the purpose of strengthening the ground.

Review
It is a LAN cable that uses a gold and silver alloy, which is the origin of the name Augline, and a "Augline + Pt" alloy material that adds platino to it, and the insulation is Teflon, and even the shielding material is Aug-alloy, which is amazing. In addition, a shield with a special electromagnetic wave prevention system has been added, and it can be said that the measures are perfect. Classical music has a lot of thickness and substance in each instrument, and the roar of Gran Cassa is powerful enough to shake the entire air in the room. The strings stretch lustrously and lightly. In jazz, the trio's instruments are clearly separated, and the space of the recording site is clearly visible to see how the engineers directed it. Yet it's top-notch because it's too analytical, and it entertains the music as a whole. Pop music conveys the feeling that the singer is entrusting his heart to peace of mind with the thick bass. It's a good listen.

I received a preview of the Aug-line LAN cable from classical pianist Mr. Yamado

Please change your impression from "I think it's pretty good" to "It's extremely good". Mr. Muto told me that aging may not be relevant with this LAN cable, but my feeling is that it requires exactly the same aging time as other Aug-line cables. Three full days have passed since yesterday, and I think the initial change has finally been completed.
The forcefulness of the player stepping forward, which bothered me at first, was overshadowed, and it came to a very natural appearance. On top of that, a large three-dimensional space appears. It's as if many layers of transparent glass that I didn't realize existed until now have been removed. The SACD transport and DAC I use are a generation old (made in 2000), but I'm honestly surprised that they had so much potential. I fell in love with it again. It's like doubling down on attachment. Since it is the most upstream of the system, its influence is one of the largest ever. Perhaps the effect is more than the speaker cable Isis. I feel that this may be a weak point, and the LAN cable (HS-Link) that I was asked to manufacture at the very beginning is now completed, and I am happy to have it completed. Thank you very much.
The shortest Accuphase HS-Link cable is 1.5m, so I thought it was unnecessarily long until now. You see, the back of the rack is also so neat.

SOURCE EQUIPMENT: LINN AKURATE DS
NAS:LaCie Ethernet Disk mini 500GB
Preamplifier: LINN KLIMAX KONTROL (before upgrading to SE)
Power Amplifier: TRIGON TRE-50MBA
Speaker: PIEGA C8
As you know, the DS series connects to the NAS via a LAN cable via the HUB on the way, and the music data is retrieved from the NAS for playback.
We are currently using ELECOM's Category 7 LD-TWS series for this LAN cable, although such a category is not defined as a standard.
This time, I replaced these two LAN cables with an Aug-line LAN cable and listened to them.
Here is the sound source used for audition.
EAGLES / HELL FREEZES OVER FROM HOTEL CALIFORNIA AND DESPERADO
Emi Fujita / Camomile Best Audio からBEST OF MY LOVEと DESPERADO
Rodrigo Y Gabriela / Rodrigo Y Gabriela to Stairway to Heaven, etc.
Akiko Suwauchi / SIBELIUS Violin Concerto in D minor Op.47
As for the order of audition, first only the DS/HUB section was changed to the Augline, and then all sections were changed to the Augline.
Now, as for the results of the audition, I am in trouble. Our system, which has obtained an Aug-Line LAN cable, plays music with unprecedented performance, and we are not confident that it will be able to convey the results well. That's how great this cable was. However, that doesn't start the story, so I'll do my best to write it (laughs) First, I listen to all the familiar sound sources for listening to and refresh my memory. Every song is very familiar, and it's like, "yes, yes, this is it." Now, it's time for the Aug-Line LAN cable. For this time, I continued to play data for almost a day and night, and burned in.
As I wrote earlier, first of all, I exchanged between the DS and HUB, and played HOTEL CALIFORNIA by EAGLES. And then... What a soundstage. What a good S/N. The texture of the music is very smooth, and at the same time, it has a depth of nostalgia that is also instantaneous. And the sound image was expressed tightly without bleeding. You can clearly see the distance between the members of EAGLES performing and the cheers of the audience, and you can enjoy the sense of realism unique to the live version. And as I listened to it, I felt my body heat up. Normally, I don't listen to the whole song in this kind of audition, but before I knew it, I had finished listening to one song. (And this goes the same way for any song.)
NEXT IS DESPERADO. There were orchestral parts in the performance, but I could clearly hear the sense of distance between them. And most of all, Don Henley's earnest singing is heartbreaking. This song has a noise from beginning to end, which is probably made by PA equipment, but until now, I felt a kind of unpleasant sensation that I could hear or not hear, and even if I heard it, I felt a kind of discomfort, but after changing to an orgline, this sound became a sense of realism unique to live music.
Without letting the excitement subside, the song changes to Emi Fujita. I often see the expression "so that you can see the movement of the lips" in the audition of a vocal song, but that's not the case. You can see how she speaks. In addition, you can even see the movement of the tongue. And as a result, I could feel that she sang differently depending on the song.
Next up is Rodrigo Y Gabriela, a passionate guitar duo from Mexico and living in Dublin. The music of the two of them, which I once described on my blog as "passionately driving the soul," is it true that they are playing even more passionately and passionately? Stairway to Heaven is played with two acoustic guitars, and from the intro you can even hear the rubbing of the arms of the player (Rodrigo). As for the fingering, it seems as if it is visible. You can even feel the texture of the strings. As the song progresses and Gabriella's percussion-like playing becomes involved, I am once again impressed by the high level of her playing technique. My listening room is not a very good environment, but I never thought that I would be able to listen to such a high resolution.
And the violin concerto by Akiko Suwauchi, which I just heard at the NHK Music Festival the other day. In the first movement, Heifetz's "Dolphin," one of the three most famous Strads of all time, delicately but unwaveringly tensioned us, we were dragged into the world of Sibelius's work. Normally, I would only listen to the first cadenza of the first movement until the end, but before I knew it, the last movement was over. The sound of her violin is slightly to the left of the center of the stage, so it is perfectly positioned in the position of the soloist, and each group of instruments is clearly positioned with a proper sense of distance. The soundstage is also very wide, and what used to be slightly outward from the left and right speakers is now wider, higher, and deeper. And even in the strong section, he clearly expressed the weak sound that seems to disappear. I think the beauty of her music is that she brings out the beautiful overtones of the Strad well and plays it very delicately, and it is well expressed. I've finished listening to it, but this performance, as I wrote earlier, is still just a change between DS and HUB. Finally, change the space between the NAS and HUB to an aug line and listen to the preview song again. Then something amazing happened. The virtues of the soundstage, such as the spaciousness of the soundstage and the good S/N, are naturally linearly improved, but the density of the midrange has increased, and the sound pressure has increased.
I was surprised by this, and I unplugged and unplugged the cable between the NAS and the HUB several times, but it was true that I had to change the volume a few steps in order to compare under the same conditions. After that, I've already had the experience of overwriting my impressions of each song I wrote earlier in a good way.
Finally, as a finishing touch, I listened to Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven, which I hadn't used before. This song is special to me. Towards the end of the song, I felt something fall on my right cheek. Right. I was inadvertently moved to tears. Clapton's sadness in the lyrics and the way he talks to his late son to overcome it touched me without making me aware of it, but it was definitely moving. I'm embarrassed to say that this is the first time in my life that I cried listening to music. I can't help but be happy to have such a musical experience. It's been very long, but this is the end of my listening record.
