SE-LR500P Tube Pre-amplifier

The transformer of SE-LR500P is custom-made by SEL (Sugano Electric Laboratory) as an original transformer for Astro Electronics project. The power transformer is of the down type with a short ring core shield. The choke coil is a band type, designed as a small preamplifier of the chassis internal type.

The chassis is made of the same bent stainless steel 2mm thick with mirror finish as used in the high-end AS series, and the panel is made of 52S duralumin 10mm thick panel with anodized finish. The insulator is also manufactured by machining from 40mm 52S round bar, and young cowhide leather is inserted between the insulator and the chassis to provide anti-vibration effect. By using carefully selected high-grade parts for the internal components, we believe that the sound quality will provide satisfactory music reproduction.

This product is a one-of-a-kind item manufactured for exhibition and listening purposes, and is almost brand new. Due to circumstances at Astro Electronics Planning, this is the only one of its kind in existence, and it is a phantom model, as it is not already in the lineup as a current model.
