PB-23 ebony spike base

The PB-23 can be used as a pin type base in combination with the PB-9 and PB-20, and when used with the PB-9 and PB-20, the top and bottom surfaces are flat for ease of use. The PB-23 is 59mm in diameter and 20mm in height, making it suitable for large, heavyweight speakers and amplifiers.

Metal is usually used for these pinpoint bases, but metal spikes often produce resonance noise peculiar to metal, whereas the PB-23 is made of wood, which prevents the inherent resonance noise and provides a clear reproduction sound that is pleasant to the ear. In particular, when a metal spike pin is supported by a metal plate, resonance noise is likely to occur, but by combining PB-23 with a metal spike, the metal spike will bite moderately to stabilize the spike and prevent metallic resonance.
