Description
The MC-999MXG is a high-performance MC cartridge step-up transformer that uses Hashimoto Denki's MC-999MXG, which has a high-mu PC core, selected winding structure, physical structure settings, triple shielding, and vibration mode dispersion measures to send the signal to the amplifier. This is a high-performance MC cartridge step-up transformer that uses Hashimoto Denki's input transformer for MC cartridges. The transformer is manufactured using high quality materials and components for the best sound quality.
The chassis is made of 2mm and 3mm thick oxygen-free copper, and the insulator is also made of machined oxygen-free copper and mounted with chamois leather in between. The rotary switches are custom-made with gold-plated contacts from Seiden, and all other parts are also carefully selected and gold-plated. The inside of the chassis is lined with anti-vibration material to prevent vibration, and 0.9mm OFC gold-plated single wire with Teflon coating is used for the wiring material to improve channel separation by using independent left and right wiring. This is a gem of a product completely handmade by Astro Electronics' proud craftsmen.
The MC transformer has a solid and heavy feel with Astro Electronics' meticulous attention to detail and construction. This is an advanced model equipped with the top-of-the-line HM-7 transformer. It has three input systems and selectable impedance (high, low, and pass), so it is quite easy to use for those who enjoy switching between several types of cartridges.
