AS-KT88PMS Stereo Pre-main amplifier

The chassis of the AS-KT88PMS is made of 2mm-thick 18-18 stainless steel with a mirror finish, and the internal components are made of 2mm-thick 18-18 stainless steel with a mirror finish and 2mm-thick oxygen-free copper material. This robust and beautiful mirror-finished casing alone cost nearly 200,000 yen, but it is remarkably effective in anti-vibration and anti-noise measures. The heat dissipation is also very good, so even though it is a vacuum tube amplifier, it can be used for a long time without any problem at all. The insulator is made of oxygen-free round copper rod and attached with young cowhide leather. The circuit parts are manufactured using carefully selected parts that are good for sound quality. The vacuum tube mounting precision is also extremely high, and noise generated from the tube mounting area is suppressed as much as possible.

Most people choose separate amplifiers when sound quality is a priority, but the AS-KT88PMS is the perfect pre-main amplifier for those who still have installation problems or who want to get the best sound possible, even though dividing the amplifier into two units would be troublesome at the earliest possible time. The self-bias capacitor used by Astro Denshi is an order of magnitude larger than the 200~300 micro capacitors used by most manufacturers, Astro Denshi uses 8000 micro capacitors. This allows the sound to be expressed well even when the volume is turned down.
