Mesh plates that make sound magical
The EML 2A3 Mesh Glove is a balloon-type vacuum tube that meets the same standard as the EML 2A3. The mesh tube is plug & play and can directly replace the original RCA2A3 tube. It has a mesh window on the anode. This combines the mechanical stability of solid plate tubes with the properties of a mesh material that is soft and has a resonant damping function. We believe that this is the most ideal combination for low-power audio tubes.
When you attach a mesh anode to a vacuum tube, something magical happens to the sound. We believe that this is due to the high damping properties of the wire mesh material. With mesh tubes, you can experience what people call a more "transparent" sound stage. This means more realistic stereo playback of the original sound recording. With this high-quality product, you can enjoy the best that a small triode has to offer.
EML 2A3
The mesh tube is built to minimize microphonics. All important parts such as filaments and grids are made of cemented carbide for higher reliability and repeatable quality. The tube base is glued to the glass with anti-vibration rubber.
- Gold-plated lattice.
- This improves the bias stability of the vacuum tubes, provides protection against accidental overloads, improves the linearity of the tube curve, and significantly reduces grid currents.

When is 2A3-Mesh deprecated?
If a mesh tube is used as an output tube for a separate preamplifier or used in a headphone amplifier, spurious noise may occur. This is rare, but if it does occur, it is not a vacuum tube problem. Otherwise, we recommend EML Solid Plate Tube.
