ASTRO AST-300BMg Vacuum Tube Stereo Single Power Amplifier

Astro Electronics Planning, a tube amplifier manufacturer, will develop a new series that has been reborn as a light and easy-to-handle amplifier without sacrificing sound quality by narrowing the width and reducing the size of the amplifier from the previous lineup of full-size amplifiers.

The transformer uses an original transformer that keeps the price down and the sound quality is as good as the upper grade. The legs are made of a combination of aluminum and rubber materials. We pursue high sound quality by using carefully selected materials for circuit components and chassis mounting parts, and the two-stage internal structure prevents resonance from inside and outside, contributing to high sound quality with high transparency without noise.

With the self-bias function, you can replace various 300Bs manufactured by vacuum tube manufacturers around the world without hesitation and enjoy the sound of each 300B. In addition, LEDs are installed in the tube connection, so it is a new tube amplifier that looks colorful. The color of the LED can be green, blue, red, or none.

The self-biased capacitor used is an order of magnitude larger than the capacitor used by general power amplifiers with a capacitor of 220~400 microns, while the AST-300BMg uses a capacitor of 3300 microns. By using a capacitance capacitor, there is a margin in the current carrying capacity, so the performance is comparable to that of a fixed bias. This ensures that the sound is well represented even when the volume is turned down. Since it has independent volume control on the left and right, you can easily enjoy high-quality vacuum tube music by directly connecting to a CD player, smartphone, tablet, etc. without a preamplifier.
