A direct replacement for the historic 5U 4G or 5Z3
It applies to 5Z3-Mesh and 5U4G-Mesh, which are electrically identical except for sockets.The 5U4G-Mesh is used as an Octal Socket socket, of which only 5 pins are used (one of which is not electrically connected).The 5Z3-Mesh uses a 4-pin UX4 socket.
It should be noted that EML tubes are slightly larger in size than conventional tubes.Like most NOS rectifiers, EML rectifiers are also slow-start tubes, providing some protection for the power supply and the entire amplifier.The delay time of the first function is 2 seconds, and the delay time of the maximum current is 7 seconds.
A special element was included inside the tube glass to stabilize the heater voltage.These elements increase resistance at higher currents and help protect the heater from accidental overvoltages.

- For optimal symmetry of the two diodes inside, the filaments are connected in series.
- Each tube is numbered, and a metal tag is attached to the inside of the bulb.
- Two oversized getters that flush the entire bottom of the tube.
- Tube printing using real gold (metal), red color is baked into the glass.
